    it's been years since I've tried it, but I think you can put an LDAP-language query filter in that config item

    do you have a PHP developer who can poke at it for you? you might have to insert some debugging code in the ldap authentication module for DokuWiki, and see what the state of it is and what results you get from LDAP

    also, when I tried using LDAP for personal directory server for everything on my home server, I ran into this "I have no idea how it failed" problem on lots of apps, not just DokuWiki. I gave up. (not that you should give up in your case, especially if it's for a group of users)

    oh :( yeah, I've been trying with openldap before, and I couldn't even load the groups module successfully, so gave up. At least with IPA apache directory studio connects without problems, which is a start....
