I would like to create media files from mails - mails are containing PDF attachments. is there a simple way to do it, f.ex. with a commandline-http request or is it sufficient to just copy the file into the data/media/ folder structure?

Marquel: you can just copy the file to data/media/. Make sure that you name the file in a way that is consistent with dokuwiki ids, i.e., no uppercase characters, no spaces.

Michitux: not a problem, the scanner does not generate attachment names which deviate from that.
